Alhamdulillah, it has been a rewarding journey to serve our students and support their academic growth while helping them develop strong character, kindness, and Islamic values. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Human Resources Management.

I have been blessed with over 15 years of teaching experience, a passion for nurturing young minds that was inspired by my mother. I have spent 5 years as an intern working with students with special needs, which strengthened my commitment to understanding and supporting each child's unique learning journey. I hold a Montessori Certification in Early Childhood Education and have earned certificates in child behavior and understanding the minds of young learners.

Ms. Shazia holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and joined Houston Peace Academy in 2026 as a substitute teacher. She enjoys working with children and is grateful to be part of a supportive, faith-centered school community. She is passionate about helping students learn, grow, and develop a love for learning, and in her free time she loves crocheting and spending quality time with her family.

A Professional Accountant with Oil and Gas experience mainly in upstream business, and different Accounting/Finance functions from General Ledger to Budget and Financial Statements analysis. Starting my professional career in 2004 overseas when joined Devon Energy – Syria branch then moved to London, UK in 2010 before immigrated with my family to USA to join Baker Hughes – Houston early in 2012. Proud to be part of Masjid Al-Salam community and Houston Peace Academy Board member. Since the time I moved to Houston, TX I joined the community with lot of volunteering works such as Masjid’s Financial Reporting, Weekend Islamic School Treasurer, Fundraising events, and other non-finance related works. For this School year, we are looking forward to establishing a solid foundation and move forward with our School building In’Sha’ALLAH.

Currently, I work as a Dyslexia Specialist in Special Education, where I support students with diverse learning needs and foster an environment where every child can thrive. I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and believe that all children deserve a safe, nurturing space to learn, grow, and become the future leaders of our community. As a mother of three, I am deeply committed to creating educational experiences that empower students to succeed.
