School gardens can make lasting differences in the lives of children. The lessons taught through these outdoor learning laboratories transcend gardening to impact children, their families and entire communities for years to come. Public Speaking

The program is facilitated by the Main Street Theater. The goal of the club is to introduce students to what makes a dynamic speaker and how they use elements of language in their oratory activities. Rhetoric, volume, word emphasis, all of these are factors of making a dynamic speech. The class will also work on introducing them to different styles of poetry because often poetic cadence is used by dynamic speakers. At the end of the program the students will have the opportunity to write original speeches that relate to their personal lives.
